Some schools across CHB have been using Times Tables Rock Stars as a means of helping their students improve their times tables and division facts knowledge. On Thursday 28th November were very lucky to have Bruno Reddy OBE - the creator of TTRS - come along to CHBC to deliver some training on the basics but also some more advanced tips.
A big thanks to Bruno and all those who attended. Looking forward to seeing those heat maps turn green and hopefully we will be able to organise a Central Hawke's Bay Times Tables Rock Stars competition early in 2025.

Congratulations to Zara Mackey who produced a winning logo for the CHB Kāhui Ako. Eighteen entries were received from Year 10 students at Central Hawkes Bay College. The Kāhui Ako team chose Zara's logo to represent the two Kāhui, Ruahine and Te Angiangi, continuing their work together from the mountains to the sea. Zara received a prize including a book voucher and an invitation to visit the Gecco design company for a half day experience.
